Gurdaspur ADC booked for tampering official records

Gurdaspur 13 June ( Bureau): Gurdaspur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sukhdev Singh has been remanded in judicial custody till June 18 in connection with a forgery case by a Nawanshahr court on Wednesday. A criminal case had been registered against Sukhdev Singh on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Sukhdev Singh�s suspension orders, signed by the Financial Commissioner (Rural Development), were received in his office on Tuesday evening. A case of forgery, tampering with government records under Sections 465/66/67/68 and 471 of the IPC and criminal conspiracy (Section 120-B) has been registered against him at the Rahon police station.
Sources said the officer had allegedly tampered with official records while he was posted as the District Development and Panchayat Officer at Nawanshahr in 2009 and also gave two different decisions in a particular case on the same date
